"Decent cover but the renewal went up"
I’ve been with RAC for a while now and no major complaints with the service, it’s been straightforward. The renewal price did go up more than I was expecting this year though, which was a bit annoying. I stuck with them because the cover is decent and it’s easy enough to manage everything online, just wish they looked after loyal customers a bit better on the price.

"I’ve been with RAC for a while..."
I’ve been with RAC for a while now, and to be honest, I do feel like it’s been worth what I’m paying. I did compare the price with a few other providers before signing up, because I didn’t want to just go with the first option I saw, and RAC came out reasonable for the level of cover. The main thing for me is the peace of mind, really. I don’t drive around constantly worrying about breaking down, but it’s nice knowing that if something does go wrong, I’m not just stuck trying to figure it all out myself at the side of the road. I’ve only had to use the roadside cover once so far, and it was much easier than I expected. I called, explained what had happened, and it was sorted without loads of back and forth or confusion. Nothing is ever perfect, obviously, but I don’t have any major complaints. For the price and what you get, I’m happy enough to stick with them...

Had to ring RAC after work cos my car just wouldn’t start, typical timing really. The patrol guy who turned up was proper calm and professional, which helped a lot since I was getting a bit stressed out. He checked the battery, talked me through what he was doing, and didn’t make me feel daft for asking loads of questions.
Only reason I wouldn’t give it full 5 stars is I was waiting longer than I hoped. But once he got there, he was great and got the car going again, so overall I was happy with the service...
"Ended up being cheaper than I thought"
I went with RAC because the premium was actually lower than a few others I looked at, which surprised me a bit. Setup was straightforward too, just got it done without much messing around. Anyway, no dramas so far, so I’m happy enough with it

I’m always a little cautious when it comes to car repairs because I don’t want to take chances with safety or end up with the same issue again. Thankfully, the repair was done well and the car’s been running fine since. Overall, I’m happy with the work.

The support was okay overall. I kind of figured it might take a bit since these kinds of claims usually seem to go through a few steps, and that was pretty much how it went. It took longer than I expected to hear back, but once they did respond, it was fine.

I used an RAC approved repairer after I had a small bump and the repair work was really good, the whole claim side of things went smoothly too, I just had to wait a few days before they could fit me in for a booking which was a bit annoying but not the end of the world

"Easy repair booking, no stress"
Booked my car repair through rac.com.au, I think it was last Tuesday or maybe the week before, and it was straightforward. I was expecting it to be a bit annoying, but it only took a few minutes.
The available times were easy to see and the confirmation email came through quickly. Didn’t have to call around or sit on hold, which was a nice change.
Turned up on the day and everything matched what I’d booked. Simple process, no dramas, and I’d be happy to use it again

"The monthly payments helped, I think"
The monthly payments made things a lot easier for me, honestly. I did get through the setup, but I found myself second-guessing a few steps along the way. Maybe I just missed something, but I do wish the instructions had been a little clearer.

"Claim was quicker than I expected"
I assumed this was going to drag on for ages, but the claim got sorted faster than I thought. The updates were a bit hit and miss, so I did wonder if something had gone wrong at first, but the money came through fine in the end. Not perfect, but overall decent.

I was expecting the insurance info on RAC to be a bit confusing, but it was straightforward once I started reading through it. The main cover and the optional extras were laid out clearly, which was a relief. I did still go back and double-check a couple of details just to be sure, but overall it was much easier than I thought it would be.

I had to ring RAC about my policy because I wasn’t totally sure about a couple of things. The person I eventually spoke to was really helpful and explained it all clearly, without making me feel like I was being a nuisance.
The only downside was the wait. I was on hold longer than I expected, and I got transferred once before ending up with the right team. From the tone of the first person I spoke to, I’m guessing they knew quickly I needed someone else, but it still dragged things out a bit.
Once I got through to the right person, it was all sorted without any fuss. They sounded friendly and patient, so overall it was a decent experience, just a little slow getting there.

My refund came through in the end without any real hassle. It took a bit longer than I would’ve liked, but for a straightforward refund situation, it was handled fine overall.

"Shockingly, the app actually does what it should"
I’ve been using the RAC app for a while now and, weirdly enough in this day and age, it hasn’t given me a reason to dramatically sigh at my phone. It opens quickly, shows my details without playing hide and seek, and sorting payments or renewals is straightforward.
I had to check my roadside cover once while I was out, and it loaded right away with no faffing about. almost suspiciously reliable. Happy with it overall...

"Felt Like I Waited Forever, But It Worked Out"
I swear I was waiting so long I started questioning all my life choices, but I did get through eventually. Once I finally got help, they were actually really helpful, so it turned out alright in the end.

"Reliable tow, but still kind of a hassle"
The tow truck showed up around the time they said it would, and the driver was friendly enough. I did have to wait a bit, which was annoying, and dealing with the whole process took more effort than I wanted after already having car trouble. Still, they got me and the car home safely, so I can’t complain too much.
